OnePay Adds Stablecoin Deposits With Stripe Technology

3h ago

OnePay is now accepting stablecoin deposits, with Stripe supplying the technology behind the feature. The addition gives the payments company a direct connection to blockchain-based settlement rails and extends a product strategy it has been building through its OnePay Next initiative.

The company cast the launch as the second half of a two-part thesis. Its earlier experiment, OnePay for Agents, centered on artificial intelligence that can reason and take action. The new deposit capability focuses on the other force executives said they were watching: blockchain infrastructure that is reshaping how money moves between parties.

Stablecoins are digital tokens generally designed to hold a steady value against a reference currency, most often the US dollar. They have become a common building block for companies that want payments to clear continuously rather than only during banking hours, and for transfers that cross borders.

Stripe has spent recent years weaving stablecoin and crypto payment tools into its merchant offerings, positioning itself as a bridge between conventional card processing and on-chain settlement. OnePay did not disclose which tokens will be supported, what limits will apply or when the feature will reach its full user base.
