Bred Bank Fiji shifts card issuing to BPC SmartVista

Bred Bank Fiji has completed a significant step in its payments upgrade by shifting its card issuing operations to BPC’s SmartVista platform. The lender, which operates as part of the Bred Group, described the move as a milestone in its wider effort to modernise international payments.

Under the arrangement, Bred Bank Fiji will use SmartVista to manage card issuing. BPC positions the platform as a tool for payment providers seeking to run card programmes on a modern, scalable system. The bank has framed the migration as part of a broader international payments overhaul rather than a standalone technology change.

The project highlights how banks in smaller markets are turning to specialist payment platforms as they update card infrastructure. By adopting an established issuing system, institutions can focus on service delivery and market needs while relying on a vendor for core processing capabilities.
