Versana rolls out digital loan amendment voting platform
Versana has launched Versana Loan Voting, a new digital solution designed to automate and streamline the amendment voting process in the loan markets. The company said the technology spans both the broadly syndicated loan market and private credit.
Voting on loan amendments has traditionally relied on manual coordination among agent banks, lenders and borrowers. As lender groups widen and portfolios grow more complex, that process can become slow, administratively heavy and difficult to track, with each vote requiring individual outreach and follow-up. In practice, a single amendment can require repeated rounds of communication before a result is confirmed.
Versana's platform aims to move that workflow into a digital environment, giving market participants a more standardised way to cast and record votes. It applies across broadly syndicated loans as well as private credit, a segment where operational infrastructure has generally lagged the pace of asset growth.
The launch adds to a broader push to modernise post-trade loan operations, where technology providers have been building tools for settlement, data and communications. Banks and asset managers have faced mounting pressure to reduce manual work in loan processing. Versana said its Loan Voting product is now available to market participants.
