Solaris Goes Live on ACI Worldwide SEPA Instant Platform

ACI Worldwide, the Nasdaq-listed payments technology provider, says Solaris has completed its move onto the company's platform for SEPA instant payments. The migration was finished on schedule, according to the announcement, marking another client going live on ACI's cloud-based payment infrastructure.

Solaris, which positions itself as a leading embedded finance platform in Europe, supplies banking-as-a-service and payment capabilities that other firms build on. Adding support for SEPA instant credit transfers matters because European regulators and market participants have been pushing for near-instant settlement across the euro area, making speed a baseline requirement rather than a differentiator.

The platform involved is ACI Connetic, which the company describes as a unified, cloud-native system for intelligent payments orchestration. Such systems route and manage transactions across rails, schemes and geographies, a function that matters more as institutions try to contain the cost and complexity of running multiple payment systems.

For ACI, the go-live adds a reference customer in embedded finance, a segment where payment processors compete for volume. Financial terms were not disclosed, and neither company gave details on the transaction volumes expected to flow through the connection.
