Objectway Moves to Acquire Capital Markets Tech Firm from BNP Paribas and Natixis

16d ago

Italian wealth management software provider Objectway has entered into talks to purchase Slib, a capital markets technology company jointly owned by BNP Paribas and Natixis. The acquisition would add specialized trading and post-trade systems to Objectway's existing portfolio of wealth and asset management solutions.

Objectway, based in Milan, focuses on digital platforms for private banks, wealth managers, and financial advisors. Acquiring Slib would broaden its reach into the capital markets infrastructure space, where Slib provides software for derivatives processing, collateral management, and regulatory reporting.

Neither BNP Paribas nor Natixis has commented on the reported negotiations. The deal, if completed, would mark another consolidation in European fintech, as traditional banking groups streamline their technology holdings and specialist providers expand their capabilities.
