MoonPay, Dunamu team up on digital asset infrastructure
MoonPay is seeking to widen its reach in cross-border digital asset infrastructure through a strategic collaboration with Dunamu, with the two companies framing the effort around global financial plumbing built on blockchain technology.
The disclosure was light on operational specifics. No product roadmap, ownership structure, launch date or revenue-sharing arrangement was made public, and the companies characterised the effort as an ongoing collaboration rather than a finished deal, leaving the scope of any jointly built system still to be settled.
Even so, the pairing points to a wider pattern across the sector, where payments and stablecoin specialists are increasingly courting established digital asset venues to reach users across multiple markets. Stablecoin settlement has turned into a competitive battleground, with infrastructure providers pitching faster, cheaper movement of value than traditional correspondent banking networks can offer, while regulators in several jurisdictions are still weighing how such flows should be supervised.
For MoonPay, the collaboration would extend its distribution into new corners of the digital asset economy. For Dunamu, it would connect a regional franchise to global payments and stablecoin capabilities. Neither company disclosed financial terms, and both signalled that further detail would emerge as the work proceeds.
