Moomoo Adds 24/7 Apple Pay, Google Pay Deposits Via Visa
Moomoo has rolled out around-the-clock account funding through Apple Pay and Google Pay, a move the brokerage says gives users a way to move money into their accounts at any hour. The capability is supported by Visa and payments provider Checkout.com, according to an exclusive Investing.com report.
Digital brokerages have increasingly competed on the ease of getting money into an account, since bank transfers and other traditional methods often follow banking hours and can leave new customers waiting. Card-based and wallet-based deposits offer a faster alternative for retail investors accustomed to paying for everyday purchases with a phone.
The arrangement leans on two pieces of payments infrastructure. Visa supplies the card network rails, while Checkout.com handles processing for the transactions. Wallet payments have become commonplace in retail commerce, and financial platforms have been gradually adopting them as a funding option alongside established transfer methods.
The launch reflects a broader convergence between payments and investing, as platforms look to remove friction from the earliest stages of the customer relationship. For Moomoo, availability around the clock is a differentiator in a crowded market for retail trading apps, where convenience and speed of onboarding often shape which platform investors choose.
