Feedzai launches Farol AI agent to speed fraud probes
Feedzai, a provider of AI-native financial crime prevention software, has unveiled Farol, an embedded AI agent designed to help banks close the integration gap around agentic AI. The tool targets fraud investigation latency and aims to sharpen threat detection across risk operations.
Banks have been testing agentic AI, which can act with some autonomy, but integrating it into existing fraud and compliance systems remains difficult. Farol is built to sit inside a bank's current risk infrastructure rather than as a separate layer, according to the company.
Feedzai says the agent will cut the time investigators spend on cases and improve detection accuracy. That addresses a familiar problem: manual review backlogs and slow responses that can allow suspicious activity to go unnoticed. By automating parts of the investigation, banks could react more quickly.
The launch reflects a broader push by fintech vendors to make agentic AI practical for regulated environments. As banks seek efficiency gains without sacrificing oversight, embedded agents like Farol may become more common in financial crime toolkits. Feedzai's move comes amid rising demand for automation that can keep pace with sophisticated threats.
