Ex-Lunar founders raise €8.2m for AI audit startup Repodo
The founders of Nordic digital bank Lunar have raised €8.2 million in pre-seed funding to launch Repodo, an audit firm built from the ground up around artificial intelligence. The new venture will operate as an authorised audit practice, according to the founders.
Ken Villum Klausen, Peter Andreasen and Joachim Strøjer Hansen, who served as Lunar's CEO, CFO and CPO respectively, are behind the project. Their experience scaling the bank from an early-stage startup to a recognised fintech brand is expected to inform how they approach the traditionally conservative audit market.
Repodo is designed to be AI-native, meaning every element of the audit workflow is built around machine learning and automation from the start. The founders argue that this approach is more effective than layering AI onto existing audit systems, offering potential gains in speed, accuracy and cost efficiency.
The €8.2 million pre-seed round gives Repodo capital to build its platform and seek client mandates. As AI adoption accelerates across professional services, Repodo's progress will offer insight into whether a fully AI-native audit firm can meet regulatory standards and win business.
